Description Was born in Badshahpur, Gurgaon (Haryana, India) in 1971 and did schooling from Ambala (Haryana), Calcutta and Vadodara (Gujarat). Graduated from M.S. University of Baroda in 1993 with bachelor degree in Textile Engineering. Worked with Reliance Industries Limited in the Worsted Division till 1996 before completing M.Tech. in Textile Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Delhi in 1997. Joined the institute again for the academic research in December 2001 after a four year industrial experience with Vardhman Polytex Limited, Ludhiana in the independent charge of the R&D division. Pioneered computerisation program for quality management and manpower performance appraisal program while at Vardhman Group. Developed test methods for routine R&D tests and contributed towards the development of new 100% Acrylic products. At IIT Delhi, actively contributed to the project on designing and development of a pattern blending draw frame sponsored by the Department of Information Technology and Alps Industries Limited, Ghaziabad, which saw a successful completion in March 2010. Did doctoral research in the area of hardware based image processing for online characterisation and monitoring of yarn faults from IIT Delhi in 2016. Knows Hindi, English, Gujarati, Panjabi and German languages. Currently working as Director (Operations) at Textile Sector Skill Council and spearheding SkillIndia program of GoI. Has implemented various skill development schemes prominent been, the GoI flagship scheme PMKVY, DDU-GKY, State mission schemes and CSR funded schemes. With the team work, witnessed the awarding of TSC as the best performaing sector skill council by National Backward Class Finance Development Corporation (NBCFDC) in 2017.
